Falcom has unveiled at their annual shareholder meeting that Ys VIII will be released on the PlayStation 4 on May 25, 2017, and it will see a major upgrade!
With 60 FPS, the game will bring in a new responsive nature and maintain the series’ famous high speed action. Thanks to the PlayStation 4, the graphics will be upscaled in high resolution images with new anti aliasing, point lighting, soft shadows, and volume metrics lighting. These new enhancements will change the way players see Siren Island as they explore it.
Additionally, the game will also see a new system with the village defenses, called ‘suppression battles,’ as well as new events related to the secondary protagonist, Dana.
Falcom has also opened the official website for the game. The link is below, and the release date is being added to the calendar.
